Pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control timed to the calendar, plus the thick lawn habits that keep weeds out.
Weeds are opportunists. They move into thin spots, bare soil and stressed turf, and once established, crabgrass, nutsedge, clover and dandelions can take over a lawn. The best weed control is a thick, healthy lawn, but even good lawns need help at the right times, because many weeds sprout on a predictable schedule.
We build the program around timing. A pre-emergent barrier in early spring stops crabgrass seed before it sprouts, and a second in the fall helps with winter weeds. Spot treatments handle what slips through, and broadleaf control is timed to when weeds are actively growing. We match products to the grass, since some products can damage fescue or Bermuda, apply them according to the label and local rules and tell you when seeding is planned, because pre-emergent products also block grass seed. A little patience helps too, because most lawns improve noticeably in the second season as thicker turf leaves less room for weeds to take hold.
A barrier applied before soil warms stops crabgrass and other summer weeds from sprouting.
Post-emergent products target weeds that appear, with care to protect desirable grass.
Some products harm certain grasses. We pick what is safe for your fescue, Bermuda or zoysia.
Pre-emergent products block seed, so we schedule treatments around any overseeding or new seeding.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new lawn, a fix for a worn one or a turf area, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure each area, check sun, shade, soil and drainage and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for sod, turf or both, and give you a written scope with quantities, timing and clear pricing.
We mark utilities, remove old turf, set the grade, loosen and improve the soil and build the base before anything new goes down.
We lay sod in tight, staggered rows or install turf over a compacted stone base, with clean edges and tight seams.
We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.
Typically in early spring, before soil temperatures reach crabgrass germination levels, and again in fall for winter weeds.
Yes, by choosing the right product for the grass and the weed, and applying it at the right time.
Thin turf, bare spots and compacted soil let seeds sprout. Thickening the lawn is the long-term answer.
Not until the product has cleared, unless a special seed-safe product was used. We plan around it.
Follow label timing, and keep pets and kids off until treated areas are dry.
