Neighborhood rules shape what you can plant. Here is how to keep a great lawn and stay on the right side of the HOA.
Many Middle Tennessee neighborhoods are governed by homeowner associations, and lawns are one of their favorite topics. Rules may specify grass type, mowing height, edging, bed lines or what is allowed in the front yard. Some associations require sod in the front, and a few ban artificial turf where the street can see it. Fines for noncompliance add up quickly.
Working with the rules is easier with a plan. We read your covenants with you, point out what applies and prepare any approval requests with sketches and samples. We install lawns that match common standards, such as thick, even turf with clean edges, and we advise on irrigation and care so the lawn stays compliant through the summer. When rules are strict, we look for creative solutions, such as turf in the back and sod in the front.
