Quality topsoil, compost and soil blends delivered to your yard, with help figuring out how many yards you really need.
New lawns, raised beds and low spots all start with soil, and not all soil is equal. Low-grade fill dirt can hold clay, rocks, weed seeds and builder debris. Good topsoil is dark, crumbly and full of organic matter. The difference shows up in how well roots grow, how water drains and how much work you do later.
We deliver screened topsoil, compost and blended mixes by the cubic yard and help you figure out how much you need. The calculation is simple but easy to get wrong: area times depth, divided by twenty-seven, plus a little for settling. We can drop it at the driveway or spread and grade it for you, and we can match the blend to the job, whether that is a lawn base, a garden bed or a fill for low spots.
Good topsoil is screened to remove rocks and debris and is rich in organic matter, not just fill dirt.
Most lawns need a few inches of topsoil blended into the existing ground rather than a thick layer that sits on top.
Compost adds organic matter and helps clay drain and sandy soil hold water. We recommend the mix for the job.
If you would rather not move the pile, our crew can spread, grade and rake the soil ready for sod or seed.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new lawn, a fix for a worn one or a turf area, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure each area, check sun, shade, soil and drainage and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for sod, turf or both, and give you a written scope with quantities, timing and clear pricing.
We mark utilities, remove old turf, set the grade, loosen and improve the soil and build the base before anything new goes down.
We lay sod in tight, staggered rows or install turf over a compacted stone base, with clean edges and tight seams.
We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.
Multiply the area in square feet by the depth in feet and divide by twenty-seven for cubic yards. Our soil calculator does it for you.
Yes. We can spread, grade and rake it, which saves a lot of wheelbarrow work.
They do different jobs. Topsoil provides bulk and texture, and compost adds organic matter. Many jobs use both.
Quality screened soil has few weed seeds, though some are always possible. Good prep and a thick lawn keep them down.
Keep it off the driveway edge, away from drains and covered if rain is coming, so it does not wash away.
