Regular mowing at the right height with crisp edges and a clean finish, so the lawn you invested in keeps its good looks.
Mowing is the most repeated job in lawn care and the one that most affects how a lawn looks and how healthy it is. Cutting too short stresses the grass and invites weeds. Dull blades tear instead of cut, leaving brown tips. Mowing on a wet day leaves clumps, ruts and disease. Done right, mowing builds thicker turf and keeps it that way.
We mow to the height that suits the grass: taller for fescue, lower for Bermuda and zoysia. We keep blades sharp, vary the pattern from week to week to avoid ruts, bag or mulch clippings as appropriate and trim and edge along walks, drives and beds for a clean finish. For new sod, we time the first mow carefully and use lighter equipment until roots set. You can book regular visits or occasional mows when you are away or busy.
Fescue likes to be tall. Bermuda and zoysia are kept shorter. The right height builds roots and shades out weeds.
A clean cut heals quickly. A torn tip turns brown and invites disease, so blades are kept sharp.
We change the mowing direction and mulch clippings back into the lawn when conditions are right.
Crisp lines along walks, drives and beds make a lawn look finished, even when the grass is still growing in.
