Know what your soil needs: pH, nutrients and texture tested, then corrected with the right compost, lime and amendments.
Grass can only be as healthy as the soil under it. Middle Tennessee soils vary from heavy red clay to rocky limestone to thin builder fill, and many are acidic or short on organic matter. Guessing at what a lawn needs usually means paying for fertilizer it cannot use or missing the real problem completely.
A soil test takes the guesswork out. We take samples from different parts of the yard and send them for analysis, then read the results for pH, phosphorus, potassium, organic matter and texture. From there we recommend lime to raise pH, compost to build organic matter, sand or soil conditioners where drainage is a problem and a fertilizer plan that matches what the soil actually lacks. The results guide the prep for sod, turf or the lawn you already have.
We take several core samples across the lawn, since front, back and shady areas can differ a great deal.
pH, nutrients and organic matter tell us what to add. Most Tennessee soils benefit from lime and compost.
Heavy clay holds water and resists roots. Compost and loosening improve how it drains and breathes.
You get a simple list of what to add, how much and when, so you spend only on what the lawn needs.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new lawn, a fix for a worn one or a turf area, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure each area, check sun, shade, soil and drainage and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for sod, turf or both, and give you a written scope with quantities, timing and clear pricing.
We mark utilities, remove old turf, set the grade, loosen and improve the soil and build the base before anything new goes down.
We lay sod in tight, staggered rows or install turf over a compacted stone base, with clean edges and tight seams.
We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.
It shows what the lawn is missing so you add only what helps, which saves money and works better than guessing.
Every two to three years is enough for most lawns, and before any big renovation.
It raises the pH of acidic soil so grass can use nutrients that are already there.
It can be improved with compost and loosening, though it takes more than one application to change.
It is a smart step, especially on new construction fill where the soil may be poor.
