Green space in the city: lightweight, drainable turf for terraces, rooftops, balconies and courtyards.
Nashville is growing upward, and more people live with a terrace, a balcony or a rooftop instead of a yard. Those spaces can be hot, hard and unwelcoming. A layer of turf turns concrete into somewhere you want to sit, set up a table or let a dog stretch out, and it does it without soil, watering or a lawn mower.
Rooftops and balconies call for careful work. Drainage must reach existing drains and scuppers so water never pools on the surface. Weight limits and waterproofing matter, so we use lightweight turf and pads and avoid adding heavy fill. We install over a clean, protected surface, secure edges with discreet trim and leave the roof membrane unharmed. For commercial rooftops, we also plan for traffic, wind and access to mechanical equipment. A short visit with a tape measure and a look at the drains is usually enough to tell whether a space is a good fit, and we are happy to say so when it is not.
Water must flow through the turf and out to existing drains. We keep them clear and never block scuppers.
Lightweight turf and thin pads add little load. We recommend checking weight limits with your building or engineer.
We install with care for the membrane and avoid penetrations, using ballast or perimeter trim where possible.
Edges are secured so wind cannot lift the turf, which matters on exposed rooftops and high balconies.

We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.
