Soft, clean playground surfaces for backyards, churches and schools, with shock-absorbing padding where kids climb and swing.
Kids fall. That is part of playing. What matters is the surface they land on. Wood chips scatter and need topping up, rubber mulch can heat up and migrate and bare dirt turns to mud or dust. Playground turf gives a clean, bright, evenly cushioned surface that stays put and needs very little upkeep.
Safety turf has two parts: the turf itself and the padding or base under it. For equipment with taller fall heights, we recommend a shock-absorbing pad or engineered base matched to the height of the play structure, since the surface should be chosen for the fall. We build the area with a firm border, drainage so puddles do not form and secure seams. For churches, schools and parks we also plan for accessibility and durable edges that withstand heavy use.
A shock-absorbing pad or engineered base under the turf is chosen for the height of the equipment above it.
Unlike loose-fill mulch, turf does not scatter, grow weeds or need refilling, and it drains after rain.
A firm, level surface is easier for wheelchairs, strollers and walkers than loose wood chips.
Churches, schools and parks get durable seams, stable borders and a layout that handles crowds.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new lawn, a fix for a worn one or a turf area, and we set a visit that fits your day.

We mark utilities, remove old turf, set the grade, loosen and improve the soil and build the base before anything new goes down.
We lay sod in tight, staggered rows or install turf over a compacted stone base, with clean edges and tight seams.
We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.
With the right padding for the equipment height, it can be a good surface. We choose the pad for the fall height.
In direct summer sun turf can get warm. Shade structures and light colors help, and so does rinsing.
We design around recognized playground surfacing guidance for fall height and recommend checking local rules for public play areas.
Brush, rinse and remove debris. It needs far less work than loose-fill surfaces.
Yes. We often replace old mulch areas with a padded turf surface.
