Wet spots, standing water and soggy corners fixed with grading, drains and the right path for water to leave.
A lawn that stays wet is not just inconvenient, it is unhealthy. Standing water drowns roots, breeds mosquitoes, grows moss and kills turf in patches that keep coming back. Middle Tennessee clay holds water for a long time, so a low spot can stay muddy for days after a rain. No amount of seed will fix a lawn that is sitting in a puddle.
We start by finding where the water comes from and where it should go. Sometimes it is as simple as regrading a low spot or extending a downspout. In other cases, a French drain, a dry well, a catch basin or a buried pipe is the answer. We install perforated pipe in a gravel-filled trench with filter fabric, sloped to an outlet, then restore the lawn on top with fresh sod so the repair disappears.
Roof runoff, a neighbor's slope, a spring or just a low spot each need a different answer. We look before we dig.
Perforated pipe in a gravel trench wrapped in fabric collects and carries water to a safe outlet, then the lawn goes back over it.
Grates and buried downspout lines move roof water far from the house and out of the lawn.
After the trench is closed, we lay fresh sod so the repair blends in and the lawn can recover.

No more puddles.

Low spots filled.
Sod over the trench.
Only what is needed.

You tell us about your yard and what you want, a new lawn, a fix for a worn one or a turf area, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure each area, check sun, shade, soil and drainage and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for sod, turf or both, and give you a written scope with quantities, timing and clear pricing.
We mark utilities, remove old turf, set the grade, loosen and improve the soil and build the base before anything new goes down.
We lay sod in tight, staggered rows or install turf over a compacted stone base, with clean edges and tight seams.
We clean up, roll or brush the surface, walk you through the watering and care plan and set a reminder for your next check.

It helps a great deal, though clay still holds some moisture. Good grade and soil improvement also help.
Yes. Buried lines can carry roof water to the street, a swale or a pop-up emitter.
We replace the turf with fresh sod, which knits in within a couple of weeks.
Usually not for a simple yard drain, though discharge rules and HOA guidelines can apply. We help you check.
