Sod installation, lawn renovation, artificial turf, pet turf, putting greens and commercial lawns, done the careful way. We measure, prepare the soil, install with tight seams and clean edges and explain the care plan plainly, with one local crew from the first visit to the last rinse.
Sod laid on hard, lumpy soil struggles. Loosen the clay, set the grade and smooth the surface first, and the lawn roots in days.
New sod has no deep roots. Keep it moist, not soggy, and use the tug test to know when it has anchored.
Tall fescue likes three and a half to four inches. Taller blades shade the soil, hold water and crowd out weeds.
Pulling plugs lets air, water and fertilizer reach compacted roots. Early fall is the best time for fescue.
Artificial turf stays flat and dry only over compacted crushed stone with a slope for drainage. Ask about the base.
Every job starts with a close look at the sun, the soil, the slope and the way you use the space. Then we recommend sod, artificial turf or a mix, show you samples, explain the care and give you a written scope.

Yes. The visit and the estimate are free and come with no obligation. You approve a written scope and price before any work begins.
Early fall for tall fescue, with spring next. Late spring through early summer for Bermuda and zoysia. We can install in other seasons with extra care.
Keep it moist but not soggy, with light watering several times a day in the first week, then deeper and less often. We give you a written schedule.
Yes. A stone base and perforated backing let water pass through, so a well-built lawn dries quickly after rain.
It depends on your association. Many allow it in back yards, and fewer in front. We help you check the rules and prepare approval requests.

Music City Sod provides sod installation, lawn preparation and renovation, artificial turf, commercial and specialty lawns, lawn and turf care and planning help. Calculators, cost ranges, checklists and guides on this site are planning references, not engineering, code or safety certification, and only a site visit and a written scope can confirm what a yard needs. Grass varieties, timing and results depend on sun, soil, drainage, weather, watering and care, and artificial turf can feel warm in direct sun. Permits, drainage outlets, excavation, irrigation rules, water restrictions and association rules differ by city, county and neighborhood, so confirm them with the right office. Chemical treatments are applied according to the product label and local rules. Playground and athletic surfaces should be chosen for the equipment and the fall height, and public play areas have their own requirements. Planning ranges in the Budget Planner and the cost comparison are ballpark figures, not quotes. Photographs and renderings on this site are representative illustrations of the kinds of work we do, not specific completed customer projects.
